What Is Kingdom Identity?

And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Acts 19:15 (NKJV)

Kingdom identity is the heaven-assigned rank, authority, and spiritual DNA of a believer that determines their governmental function, realm access, and operational authority in the spirit. It governs how one moves, speaks, wars, and rules—advancing through obedience or inheritance and enforced by divine order.
The first thing I want to point out is that the spirit realm knows who you are, but do you? Wouldn’t it be uncomfortable to walk into a room and someone you’ve never met knows more about who you are than you do? The Bible records in Hosea chapter 4 that, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.” There are many things we will be ignorant to about the spiritual realm because one, it takes faith to see it and two, it takes time to cultivate this knowledge. Not everyone is willing to put in the work to cultivate the knowledge. Not everyone is willing to set aside the fear of the unknown to see into the spiritual realm.
In 2020, I taught about inquiring of the Lord concerning your rank in the spirit realm. You as a human being were given spiritual authority (dominion) in the earth realm by God in the Garden of Eden. It is important to note, that being a believer is not a prerequisite for this authority. Those who operate in darkness have been utilizing the dominion given to them by God in the earth realm for eons. Some of us attain a level of authority in the spirit realm that both spirits of the light and darkness recognize.
If you have not spent time in the presence of God to grow your spiritual authority and power, you are not equipped to take on the Kingdom of Darkness and they will let you know it. Study to show thyself approved, spend time in your word, in prayer, and in fasting so that God can reveal more of His mysteries to you for you to be an effective Kingdom Ambassador against the wiles of the devil and his minions. If there is no power in you, then you cannot command it to come out. Even in the spirit realm, you can’t go taking a knife to a gun fight. (Acts 19:11-17)
Spiritual Rank
I introduced spiritual rank to my audience in 2020 when God revealed it to me. At the time I had a limited understanding of it and was restricted to the authoritative designation of man’s military. However, I always leave room for God to do more. I said, “Now, we cannot put God in a box and limit Him to human ways, but it is a start.” As God took me higher in the spirit realm He began to reveal more in 2022. God has a kingdom and therefore our authority is governed by royal rank and not limited to military rank. Let’s dive into the hierarchy of spiritual rank in the Kingdom.
NOTE: Identifying one’s spiritual rank is not for bragging rights or public service announcements. It is a spiritual tool of insight to be more effective in prayer and intercession as well as the planning of strategic spiritual warfare. It is not a competition or a point of contention to breed envy or jealousy. It is for the intercessory and prayer circles only to be more effective in warfare. The rank given does not necessarily have to do with how long someone has been saved or how much they know about God and the spiritual realm. It is of utmost importance that we accept the rank God reveals and embrace the training process He sets before us to begin to operate effectively in our authority. There is a such thing as spiritual promotion in your rank. God will reveal to you CLEARLY if your rank has been elevated. It is imperative that an intercessor knows they have heard from God on the spiritual rank given and does not have a heart influenced by ego or overconfidence. You do not get to assume your rank based on your understanding of the position. You must get the revelation directly from God. We do not want to engage in warfare we do not have the authority to handle bringing about unnecessary casualties of warfare.

There are biblical examples for each of these positions throughout scripture. Perhaps one of the most famous is the Prince of Persia in Daniel 10. The messenger angel was held up and could not deliver God's answer to Daniel's prayer until Michael, the archangel, who is a CHIEF Prince came in to help. We see right here that rank played a factor in warfare. The messenger angel could not defeat the prince (principality) until an angel of higher rank came along. This is why it is important to ask for angels with rank when you're praying for angelic assistance in warfare.
Another way we can tell there is rank and authority in the realm of the spirit is by studying those in scripture that Satan actually attacked. Satan is at the top of the authority food chain for the Kingdom of Darkness. He is a Chief Prince (remember, he was an archangel like Michael). There are only four people that Satan himself attacked. In the realm of the spirit, there is protocol. Authority must match. Therefore you can have an indication of your rank based on the type of attacks you are receiving. Satan attacked Eve and by proxy, Adam, Job, and Jesus. We know that each of these had a great amount of spiritual authority according to what scripture tells us about them. If you do not rank high enough in the spirit, Satan is not attacking you. Other demonic forces are like the ones throughout scripture.
Speaking of Job, most believers use his words in Job 22:28 to determine that they have the power to decree. This is one of the most game changing aspects of elevating in rank in the spirit realm. Job had the power to decree because he possessed the authority and rank in the spirit which is why he said what he said. Until you reach the rank of King/Queen or higher you do not possess the authority to make decrees in the realm of the spirit. I know this is going to be hard for some people to accept because church culture has taught us that we can all declare and decree. The truth is one must possess the authority to make decrees that the spirit realm acknowledges and responds to.
Another example of this is the Book of Esther. Haman only had permission to decree that law when given access to use the King's signet ring. Mordecai was only allowed to reverse the decree once he was given permission from the king to use his signet ring. The ability to decree is tied to authority. A decree is an official royal command, therefore you must be a royal or given permission by a royal to make a decree. Another aspect of identity that is displayed in Esther is gatekeeping. If you are a gatekeeper and have spiritual sight, you will see yourself with a scepter. The king's scepter was the object that granted or denied access to his presence.

Spiritual Authority & Spiritual Armor
Authority: the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience
Armor: the metal coverings formerly worn by soldiers or warriors to protect the body in battle
This element of your spiritual identity is characterized by a color. Yes, I said, a color. A term you may be familiar with is, aura. We’ve heard people talk about someone’s aura and what color it is. As I stated before, Satan cannot create, he simply mimics what God put in place. So yes, there are opposite meanings to the colors as well. If God chooses to give you this insight know that He is giving you information you need about your enemy(ies). The thing that separates the Kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of Darkness is the Holy Spirit. The difference between us and them is we are following the leading of the Holy Spirit which dwells in us because we have a relationship with God our Father. We also have accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Nonbelievers do not have this spiritual right to access these attributes of God, so they manipulate the power of the supernatural to their own selfish gain.
The higher you go in rank, the more colors you obtain. Throughout Scripture, God gives His people specific instructions and often times, those include what color something should be, especially His temple. We also see the use of color in the Book of Revelation as it describes the way Heaven looks. Everything God created has meaning and purpose. Did you know that what a color represents can be prophetic. Once God reveals your color(s) to you, you can study from reliable sources, but most importantly seek Him to understand the authority that is part of your spiritual identity. The way you use the colors of your authority and armor is to understand the prophetic attributes of them and incorporate them in your warfare – prayer, fasting, intercession, declaring, decreeing, what to wear during certain assignments, etc. Your authority colors are what you are AUTHORIZED to do in the spirit and your armor is the attributes that PROTECT you.
For instance the color silver as armor looks like a mirror and blinds the enemy to you so they see themselves or Jesus reflected back at them. If your armor is silver, think about a scenario where this tactic is beneficial in battle. When I used to teach spiritual warfare at a maximum security prison, often my silver armor was on to blind the principalities that governed the region from knowing I was there. They add an additional layer to the strategy in your warfare. If you find it challenging to discern which color belongs as your authority versus your armor, ask God to SHOW you so that you can clearly see and operate effectively.
Resources for Further Study
I have created several resources that breakdown this topic in detail with scripture. I also breakdown how to pray at the various levels. If the Holy Spirit is leading you to find out about your kingdom identity, get ready to invest your time, resources, and be trained by God Himself in your kingdom identity. This is not a quick process. You absolutely must study to show yourself approved in this kingdom mystery. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is absolutely how we access the things Jesus promised us. It is how we position ourselves in the realm of the spirit to shift things and take back what the enemy has stolen from the humans of the earth.

Salvation
To operate LEGALLY at this level in the realm of the spirit, you must have a relationship with Jesus Christ. If this post in any way, shape, or form made you want to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then I want to extend to you the free gift of salvation. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you are or what you’ve done. You can stop right now and ask Jesus to come into your heart. It’s as easy as your ABC’s.
A = Admit you are a sinner, ask for forgiveness
B = Believe in Jesus Christ, that he died and rose again
C = Confess, I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior
Romans 10:9-10 (NASB) —That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
